The concept of Knightsite began in July 1994. Knightsite is one of the oldest K of C websites on the World Wide Web. Knightsite made its Internet debut in 1995. Knightsite has received numerous awards over the years including The International Council of Webmasters 2003 Website of the Year Award. In 1997 Knightsite was listed in the Top 40 Catholic Websites in the World by the Catholic Internet Directory as the #1 Knights of Columbus Website and #15 of all Catholic Websites in the world. From the very beginning the goal of Knightsite was to encourage the members and councils of the Knights of Columbus to use the Internet as a resource to serve God and to benefit our Church, our country and our Order. We have come a long way since 1994. As Knightsite continues its service in the years to come, we hope that you can help us reach our goal. We also hope that you find the various features on Knightsite helpful in reaching your goals and ours.

In an effort to simplify the process of getting K of C councils onto the World Wide Web, Knightsite has developed its own Web Hosting Service and its own Domain Registration Service. These services are managed by Webmaster and Past Grand Knight Jack Impellizeri. Knightsite can provide your council with:

  • High quality, low cost, and AD FREE web space for your council's website for as little as $25 per year.

  • Low cost Domain Registration ($12.50/yr new or renew)

  • A variety of useful, interactive features

  • Choose from Do-It-Yourself plans or have us set up your website for you.

  • Click on the Web Hosting Link Buttons at left for more information.

We here at Knightsite want to thank the many K of C Internet Pioneers that have paved the way for our Order to make the best possible use of the Internet and World Wide Web. To learn more about some of these K of C Internet Pioneers and their contributions to toward our common goals CLICK HERE. In an attempt to acknowledge the contributions made by additional Brother Knights who presently contribute their time and talent to our Order, Knightsite continues to sponsor it's special awards program. You can view current and past award and you can nominate a website for our consideration. you may even nominate your own council's website if you wish. Our Beginnings; A Sanctuary
In the late 19th century, North America was experiencing an influx of people from all over the world, particularly Europe. Many people were relegated to living in unsanitary conditions, and performing hazardous jobs for poor pay. Such was life for Catholics in New Haven, Connecticut.
The untimely death of the family breadwinner often devastated a family. In 1882, a young Catholic priest, Father Michael J. McGivney, curate at St. Mary's Church in New Haven, envisioned an organization to help Catholic families deal with this crisis. Out of his vision the Knights of Columbus was founded. We are currently the largest Catholic, family, fraternal organization in the world, and boast a members-only insurance program that is among the strongest in the industry.

Always There, Always Strong
As a member of our organization, you enjoy the opportunity to participate as a family and positively affect your church and community. One person can make a difference. With 1.6 million members, the Knights of Columbus' impact is enormous. Last year alone, we donated $116 million to charitable causes, and performed over 56 million hours of community service. That's impact!
We have over 1,200 full-time life insurance professionals dedicated to serving member's needs. Each is assigned exclusively to a group of members and families so that he'll be there when you or your family needs him. These agents are members of our organization and share our members' ideals and goals in community service.

How We Measure Up
Feel confident that we'll be there when you need us. The independent rating services of IMSA, Standard & Poor's and A.M. Best agree. Click on the icons below to see what they are saying about our insurance program.

Promised Benefits
From its humble beginnings, our insurance program has grown into a formidable institution, providing billions of dollars in future death benefits to our members and families.

Financial Strength
Prudent management has led to the rapid growth of our assets, providing adequate backing for our member's protection, and securing our obligations to our insureds and their beneficiaries.

Ownership Benefits
Because we're a Fraternal Benefit Society, we have no stockholders. Our owners are our members. We return our good fortune in the form of dividends to our policyholders.

Knightsite wishes to thank Gary L. Thomson and the International Council of Webmasters
for their support and encouragement over the years.

Celebrate Life

Please visit this Very Special Website and buy the $10 Celebrate Life Music CD
created by Victoria Ferrera and her two friends.
These girls are Catholic High School students trying to raise money to feed the hungry. There are three original songs on the CD. They are all very relevant to current issues of our Faith and our Order. The lyrics are thought provoking and inspiring. One of the songs received an award from the Diocese of Rockville Centre, in New York State. I have a copy of this CD and listen to it often. You can preview the songs on the website. I encourage you to buy one if you possible can. Thank you in advance.
This is not a hoax.
